Gifts for Seniors collects and distributes gifts for isolated older adults throughout the year. For those living with mobility challenges, watching bird activity outside their window is a great way to connect with nature. Your family, corporate, or other group is invited to host a bird feeder and bird seed gift drive or build activity to spread joy this springtime!
Host a gift drive
Gifts for Seniors collects and distributes gifts for isolated older adults throughout the year. Your group is invited to host a gift drive to celebrate special events, holidays, seasons, and simply to spread joy!
Host a card making party
Get friends together for a fun time making and filling out cards for isolated older adults. We are currently seeking homemade and purchased cards with kind messages for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and general spring sentiments.
Calling all makers
Does your group love to make homemade items to share with those who need them? You are invited to create a project, such as one of these:
knitters and crocheters - hats, scarves, gloves, artwork
quilters - blankets, throws, lap blankets, table runners
sewers - totes, wheelchair bags, hot dish holders, pillowcases, anything really!
crafters - ornaments, reindeer candy canes, washcloth teddy bears, etc.
Host a Gift Kit Making Project
Does your group love to put together care packages to share with those who need them? You are invited to host a gift kit project like these:
personal care kits - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, toothpaste, nail files, and more!
activity kits - word finds, crosswords, sudoku, adult coloring books, colored pens/pencils/sharpeners, puzzles, card games, etc.
snack and treat kits - salty or sweet, you call it
or a combo bundle of any of the above works too!
